Update: Fast Frame

Jon met with Marty this morning to show him the brochure, two direct mail pieces, window sign and website concepts. We're going to proceed with all five projects, as quickly as we can finish them.

The printed pieces all need some changes, which we can finish this week with the help of our illustrious ad shop team. We will be looking for help with photo retouching, layout finessing and proofreading/copy fitting to finish these projects. Please be prepared to be tapped to help us with any of these tasks.

The website will use the "love/passion," "art/masterpiece," etc. concept. It will include a Flash intro, with the rest of the site being graphic-heavy HTML. It should be a fun site to work on. Our next step is to develop a few different ways to approach the concept, then begin producing the files that our website developer needs to work with.

Update: Imagine

Scott presented the Imagine ideas on March 2. The client was excited by what he saw and talked about working with XB to do print ads and a new website, among other projects. He's giving us free rein to rework their logo and make any other suggestions as well. He's very open to ideas that "push the envelope," so this will be an exciting project to work on.

We will schedule a follow-up meeting to find out likes/dislikes among the ideas we presented and plan for our next steps.

Update: Fast Frames

The first proof was shown to the client this morning. He loved the proof, and the copy, and has only a few minor changes. The client is trying to locate a new photo that could work for us, but if he cannot he will purchase the image that we have already picked out. He will let us know by Tuesday March 6th, 2006.

Next Steps:

Get all images (except for the one to be purchased) ready for print. The entire document should be ready to print.

There will be an addition of a websited, the website address is to be determined, but we will have it my Monday the 5th of October.

To have the document approved and print ready by Friday March 9th.

Ad Shop Meeting Minutes

Ad Shop Meeting Wednesday February 28th, 2007:

1. Charlotte's Position: Charlotte's role at Extra Bold had changed slightly. She will now devote the entiretity of here time to handling the work fllow and traffic in the ad shop. Many concerns about the ad shop is that projects do not move quickly enough or it is hard to get feedback or even whom to talk with. Charlotte will be the point of contact for all things to do with the Ad Shop. She will give immediate feedback on the ideas that are turned in and will transfer all questions to the proper person.

Because of this Charlotte has moved her desk to the 'Creative Corner' by Scott and therefore things can be left for them there. If ther are any questions regarding this they can be directed to Charlotte at charlotte@extraboldschool.com

2. ideas@extraboldschool.com : Because of the changes in charlottes positon and feedback we have received we have created a new email address that will be used for all idea submissions. The preferred method is to email the ideas to this one address: ideas@extraboldschool.com. Acceptable files to be submitted are in the following format : .pdf , pdf scans, jpeg, .doc, word docs, and just text in email. If you have ideas to submit they can be scanned at Extra Bold, archived and emailed to us.

We want to insure that the right people are seeing the ideas as soon as possible and therefore we can increase the efficiency and quaility of the feedback. Also this will create an archive of all ideas so they are not lost and we can easily review them at a later date.

3. This blog was mentioned as a place that will post all updates and updates from clients in a 'real-time' manner. It is almost like day-trading but for the adshop....And really Scott just wants to be a hip blogger like his kids...

5. Extra Bold File Sharing: We currently have an Extra Bold File Sharing system on the world wide web. This will allow you to download ad shop reports, creative briefs, and other information that we find relavant.

There is one general login for everyone. Basically just to keep the general public out of it. You can all download and upload files to the specific areas of the website. As always if you feel there is some information that would be helpful to be placed here please let Jon know at jon@extraboldschool.com.

Login: student
Pass: pinckney

Justin will be placing all the relevant material on there over the next week. We will also link to files in this blog to there.

6. Mondays: We have called god and changed Monday to 'Ad Shop Monday'. All members in the adshop will have the opportunity to meet with their partners all day at Extra bold till 8pm and will be able to meet with Scott betweeen 12pm and 8pm. Jon & Charlotte will also be available during these times on most Monday's. There is more to come on this particular subject.

Update: Little Amerricka

Friday Presentation:

We presented one theme and with two different styles and looks to LIttle Amerricka this past Friday. They were and are very excited about the Norman Rockwell'esque theme that we proposed. They have had us incorporate this theme into a small ad that was required to go to print asap. They also want this to effect every piece of literature, advertising, and communcation that they have with the guests at their park.

Current Projects:

Little Amerricka General Brochure
LA Corporate Ideation

We are currently in discusssions of media, cost and which medias to pursue. Things that are FOR SURE to come are the following:

Post-Production T.V. Spots
Radio
OOH

Jon is putting together some estimates on production costs and what types of media we can do when and from that we can derive a timeline on how to proceed with the other elements of adveritisng.

Overall the client was impressed and is very excited to continue working with us.

-XB Staff

Update: Pro-Active

From Client:

Talked with Jerome from Pro-Active. They will have a decision made on their new logo by March 2nd, 2007. They liked 3 of the logo's that they are shown and will choose from those. The logo choice will be posted here as soon as we here from the client.

Update: SHB Website

From Herkimer:

I talked with Nathan from Herkimer and he will have the introduction completed in flash by Monday for us.

Herkimer suggested that for the text links on the page they will have to be in system fonts in order to be easily read by search engines. System fonts include the following: (These are fonts found on all systems...)

Times New Roman
Arial
Centric Gothic
Verdana
Helvetica

From Client:

The client likes the layouts thus far and are pleased with how much better the text links look versus other law firms.

They approved the web change to shbmadison.com. This domain has been reserved and the new webpage will be built and constructed under this webpage name.

Our Goal is within a week to have to following go live on the web.

SHB Introduction
6 Base Pages
Attorneys Page
Contact Us Page

All other content will be added to that webpage as it is expands.
